LEAP SQUAD DOMINATES AT THE LONG BEACH SPRINTERS INVITATIONAL
Jun 07, 2026
Another strong weekend for LEAP Squad Track Club.
The Long Beach Sprinters Invitational turned into a major confidence-building meet for the team as athletes across multiple age groups stepped up with championship performances, personal bests, and podium finishes heading into one of the most important parts of the season.
LEAP Squad finished the weekend with:
🥇 11 First Place Finishes
🥈 8 Second Place Finishes
🥉 7 Third Place Finishes
More importantly, athletes continued showing growth at the right time of year.
This meet served as an important tune-up competition before next weekend’s Region 16 Championships, where athletes will compete for advancement and bigger opportunities moving deeper into the championship season.
Several athletes had standout performances throughout the weekend.
Clayton Reyes continued his impressive season by winning both the Boys High Jump and Triple Jump in the 15-16 division. Nitai Hagashi captured the Boys Long Jump title with a huge 21-4.75 leap, while Maxwell Do led the older boys triple jump division with a winning mark of 41-10.50.
One of the biggest highlights of the weekend came from Olivia Donnelly, who earned her first win of the season in the Girls Long Jump 11-12 division while also hitting a huge personal best of 14-0.50. After weeks of hard work and consistency in training, Olivia put together a breakthrough performance that showed her confidence continuing to grow at the right time of the season.
On the girls side, Mariah Robinson took home the Girls Long Jump title in the 15-16 division, while Emma Heiman and Solana Wang added first-place finishes in the triple jump.
The younger athletes continued making noise as well. Miah Wright earned victories in the high jump and added another podium finish in the long jump, while Daniel Kim had one of the strongest overall weekends on the team with a personal best in the long jump and a first-place finish in the triple jump.
Athletes like Ava Palmer, Godden Forde, Shamar Graham, Sierra Benedict, Noor Ladki, and Marcus Wright all added important podium finishes that continue building momentum heading into Regionals.
For LEAP Squad, the focus has never only been about medals.
It is about development.
Confidence.
Learning how to compete under pressure.
And building athletes who are ready when championship moments arrive.
This weekend showed exactly that.
Now the attention shifts toward Region 16 Championships next weekend, where LEAP Squad athletes will look to carry this momentum into another high-level competition.
The work continues.
