The Nike Indoor Nationals is one of the most prestigious high school track and field competitions in the United States. Held annually at the historic Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory in New York City, the meet brings together many of the best high school athletes from across the country. For jumpers, sprinters, and distance runners alike, competing at Nike Indoor Nationals means lining up against some of the top talent in the nation and testing where you truly stand.

This year, seven athletes connected to the LEAP Squad program will take the national stage, representing a mix of California, Texas, and Pennsylvania. What makes this group especially unique is that two of the athletes compete through LEAP Squad’s virtual team, showing how athletes can receive development guidance and still reach national-level competitions even when they are training in different states.

One of those virtual athletes is Oliver Leit, a junior from Southlake Carroll High School in Texas. Leit currently holds a personal best of 44'5" in the triple jump and is ranked #15 in the state of Texas for the junior class. He has already proven himself on the national stage, finishing 5th at the 2025 USATF Junior Olympic Nationals in the 15–16 age group. With continued development, Leit is looking to build on that success as he competes against some of the best jumpers in the country.

Another standout competitor is Milena Sciullo, a senior from Pennsylvania who has already built an impressive résumé. In 2024, Sciullo finished #2 in the United States at the USATF Junior Olympic Nationals in both the high jump and triple jump, posting personal bests of 41'3" in the triple jump and 5'7" in the high jump. That same year she captured the Pennsylvania Indoor State Championships in both events before going on to win the outdoor state title in the triple jump. She is currently the #16 ranked triple jump in the USA.

After battling an injury during the 2025 outdoor season, Sciullo returned strong this year, once again winning the indoor state championship with a 40'7" triple jump and a new high jump personal best of 5'9". She will compete in the triple jump at Nike Indoor Nationals and continues to train with the LEAP Squad through the program’s virtual structure.

California will also be well represented by several LEAP Squad athletes. Dane Malloy, a senior from Aliso Niguel High School, enters the meet with personal bests of 22'9" in the long jump and 45'4" in the triple jump. Malloy currently ranks #12 in California in the triple jump and holds the school record at Aliso Niguel, establishing himself as one of the top jumpers in the state.

Another athlete generating excitement this season is Max Do, a senior from Fountain Valley High School. With a personal best of 45'10" in the triple jump, Do currently ranks #6 in California and has developed a reputation for his explosive style on the runway.

Woodbridge High School in Irvine will also have strong representation. Garryn Forde, a senior long jumper, owns a personal best of 19'2" and a season best of 18'5", placing her #9 in California. She will be joined by teammate Aiylyn, a sophomore triple jumper who has already reached a 36-foot personal best and continues to build experience competing at higher levels.

The next generation of LEAP Squad athletes will also be represented by freshman Godden Forde, who has already jumped 20'5" in the long jump, showing early signs of becoming a strong competitor in the event.

For Coach Keinan Briggs, founder of the LEAP Squad Track Club, the opportunity to see these athletes compete at one of the country’s biggest meets is a testament to their work and the support system around them.

“I am very proud of these athletes who have done an amazing job, and I also want to thank their high school coaches for the support they’ve given along the way in conjunction with the LEAP Squad,” Briggs said.

LEAP Squad’s approach to athlete development focuses on helping jumpers build the technical skills, seasonal planning, and long-term structure needed to reach national-level competitions. Whether athletes train in person or virtually, the program emphasizes a clear development plan designed to help athletes reach their full potential.

As these athletes prepare to step onto the runway at Nike Indoor Nationals, they represent not only their schools but also a growing network of athletes developing through the LEAP Squad system. Their journey shows that with the right structure, guidance, and commitment, athletes can compete on the national stage regardless of where they train.

For many families watching, it’s also a reminder that national-level success doesn’t happen by accident. It happens through planning, development, and a system designed to bring out the best in each athlete.
